Patrick Evans

Patrick developed a relationship with the Lord at an early age. His dependency on God and diligent reading of the Bible during his high school years led him into the ministry when still a teenager. He took his first position as a youth pastor at 19 years old. His youth work continued through the next nine years, intertwined with two separate opportunities to serve as a missionary in the slums of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

In 1996 Patrick’s pastor’s heart and burden for the lost led him into a two and a half year stint as a missionary in Nigeria. He not only labored among Nigerians, but also ministered in the capacity of youth pastor to missionary kids (children of missionaries living in Nigeria). It was during the last six months of his time in Africa that Jeff joined him as an intern.  Upon returning to the States, Patrick and Jeff spent a year preparing for their next field of service and establishing Dayspring Mission. After converting a ’75 Ford school bus into an RV, Patrick and Jeff drove it to Belize in October 2000, where they currently live and work.

Patrick serves as a pastor for the mission and teaches at Dayspring Mission Academy, a school in San Jose village begun in 2004.  For more information about how Patrick became a Christian and what led him into the ministry and missionary service, click on the link below.
